LIFE, AN ETERNAL SHOW
By Madhu Rajan
Life is so incredibly beautiful, absolutely awesome;
So unbelievably horrific, ugly and painful
Or it may be anywhere in between the two wide spectrums.
It simply depends on the angle you are looking at it from;
Like in a show you may get good or bad seats.
But the life’s show is so much more complex
Than that you have ever seen any where
Here in some inexplicable way
Every one is a part of this great ever unfolding play
Sitting on the best seats of orchestra
Or being somewhere on the fringes
And there are always some who perform on the center stage
Larger than life roles; larger than most rewards
The producer-director of this great show is great too
He runs such a big show with billions of characters
And props and innumerable settings and
Multitudes of other life forms thrown in;
There are any numbers of acts taking place at the same time
Which one you get to experience depends on your seat.
There are tragedies, there are comedies
Death, destruction, mayhem
Bravery, chivalry, kindness
Abundance of humor and pathos
And laughter and tears.
Players enter, play their parts
And leave,
Never to be seen again
Their places taken by new players
But unlike all other shows
There is never “the end”.
The show always goes on
Incredibly beautiful or unbelievably ugly n painful
or somewhere in between,
Depending on the seat you got!
